Job Summary

The Master Physician Assistant program is currently seeking for a self-motivate undergraduate student to join their team of professionals The Computer Support Assistant will be responsible for supporting the technical team primarily with all outgoing projects, task, computer troubleshooting and classroom support

Duties include:

  • Assist the Technical Team, with all outgoing classroom support, computer updates and replacements for the MPAS program
  • Create, maintain and update procedure guides for the department
  • Assist with bundle and development testing
  • Assist the team with class recording editing (Panopto)
  • Assist the team resolving basic technical issues or concerns such as computer deployments, updates, set ups and cable management for end user
  • Identify, research, and resolve basic technical problems that may arise
  • Provides support with general office duties and clerical tasks
  • Performs other related duties as required or as directed The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position

  • Basic level of Panopto preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of PC operations and software

Who May Apply
  • Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
  • Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
  • Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
Work Schedule

Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
