Accounting Manager (NetSuite required, up to $115k)

This role involves managing a team of accountants, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
  • Collaborate with finance and executive teams to develop budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting systems and software, ensuring they meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in retail or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
