Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Analyst classifies and records data to keep financial records complete. The Accounts Payable Analyst performs any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to aid in maintaining accounting records.
This job will be Monday - Friday, with typical work hours of 8am - 5pm, though additional hours worked may be required. This job will require minimal yearly travel, less than 10%.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Drives process improvements in accounts payable area, such as optimization of invoices, vendor payment confirmation, etc.
* Trains Carlisle team members and new hires on accounts payable processes and best practices.
* Manages unclaimed property records and reporting requirements.
* Ensures accurate vendor master information and change management processes.
* Responsible for accounts payable invoice exception monitoring.
* Coordinates Sales and Use Tax compliance for accounts payable team including researching taxability, completion of exemption certificates, assisting with tax audits, etc.
* Records monthly journal entries and performs monthly maintenance/research of GR/IR account.
* Performs account reconciliations for responsible areas.
* Preparation of Electronic Audit Evidence (EAE) documentation for compliance.
* Preparation of support for internal and external audits.
* Cross-trained in all areas of accounts payable to be able to assist in all areas of A/P during absences and workload shifts.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
* Required:
* High School Diploma/GED
* 10+ years of accounts payable experience
* 1-2 years of analytical experience
* Accounts payable software experience
* Preferred:
* College Degree in accounting or business is highly preferred
Working Conditions:
* Individual will operate primarily in an office setting, with a preferred hybrid schedule (ability to work from a home part of the week). (Company hybrid policy is 3 days on site, 2 days remote)
* Individual will occasionally be in a plant environment where it may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings.
