Summary of Key Responsibilities:

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This position involves verifying invoices, processing payments, reconciling vendor statements and maintaining accurate records of accounts payable activity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Process large volume of invoices accurately and within compliance of company policies
  • Code invoices with correct GL account to ensure proper entry into the financial system
  • Engage in Vendor Management through gathering required documents and ensuring accurate vendor setup in the payment system
  • Create and process check requests for items such as physician payments, patient travel reimbursement, etc.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Research and answer vendor inquiries timely and professionally
  • Assist with monthly sponsor invoicing process
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Complete other projects or duties as assigned

Mandatory:
  • Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement".
  • During your employment with Sarah Cannon you will be routinely assigned training requirements. You are expected to complete any training assignments by the due date.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree; Additional appropriate education may be substituted for healthcare accounting experience
  • 1+ years of progressive accounts payable experience; preferably in a clinical trial research or healthcare-related environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to multitask and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to interpret basic study contract language as it relates to required payments

Compensation for this role is between $19 to $22/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
