Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Comprehensive Oral Health houses several disciplines including, Periodontology, Dental Hygiene, Comprehensive Dentistry, Operative Dentistry/BioMaterials, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. The Operative discipline focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of defects of the teeth that do not require full coverage restorations for correction.
Position Summary:The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Dentistry seeks a Part-Time Adjunct faculty member in the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assuring the safe and effective delivery of patient care, providing didactic and clinical education, summative and formative student assessment and participation in small group seminars.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Candidates must have a DDS, DMD, or equivalent degree.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:At least two years of demonstrated clinical experience or postgraduate clinical education and demonstrated clinical teaching experience are required. Ability to perform all aspects of general dentistry. Currently holds or is eligible for NC Dental teaching license required.
