Advanced Systems Engineer

Pittsfield, MA

Contract Position

Advanced Systems Engineer job in Pittsfield, Massachusetts is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense company. To qualify for this job you will be a U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret security clearance. In this job you will support the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You will be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for helping develop several computer systems
• Finalize configuration of operating systems, hyper-visors, and network switches
• Operate in an Agile development life-cycle to accomplish their goals

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret security clearance
• Bachelor degree in Systems Engineering, or STEM and 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree and 3+ years of experience
• Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools
• Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Switch configuration
• DoD HBSS Implementation (Microsoft PowerSTIG, McAfee for Red Hat, and Windows Defender)
• VMWare vSphere, Red Hat
• Windows Server 2022, VMWare ESXi
• Configuration management, GitLab Pipelines and Agile based development
