Job Title:Associate Director, Student WellnessDepartment:Student Life | Student Wellness Center

The Associate Director of the Student Wellness Center (SWC) is responsible for providing strategic vision, development, implementation, and evaluation for the Monda Student Resource Center (MSRC). This role oversees all operations within the MSRC, including the Buckeye Food Alliance (food pantry), the Career Closet (clothing closet), and various outreach, marketing, and health resources. The Associate Director will manage strategic direction, budgeting, and daily operations while developing long- and short-term goals for the MSRC.
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing both long-term and short-term vision and goals for the Monda Student Resource Center (MSRC), managing its strategic direction, budgeting, and evaluation. They will oversee and assess educational and wellbeing programs aimed at under-resourced students and implement creative strategies to enhance community involvement and address health disparities. In terms of operational management, the role involves directing daily operations and programming for the MSRC, including the Buckeye Food Alliance and Career Closet, and supervising, training, and evaluating professional staff, graduate interns, student assistants, and volunteers.
The Associate Director will also be tasked with fostering partnerships with students, staff, faculty, and external professionals to develop innovative programs and interventions, as well as collaborating with campus departments and external organizations to address the evolving needs of the student population. They will oversee the development and reporting of formal assessments, analyze data to identify program needs, evaluate effectiveness, and respond to emerging trends.
In the area of development and fundraising, this role will assist in the growth of the MSRC by meeting with prospective donors and support groups and supporting administrative operations through detailed reports and key performance indicators. Administrative functions include contributing to staff recruitment, selection, and retention, managing the budget, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and maintaining the MSRC website and social media content.
Finally, the Associate Director will serve on university-wide and national committees to influence and educate stakeholders on policies and procedures, develop relationships with campus partners to create sustainable wellness and basic needs initiatives, and participate in and lead various committees and working groups. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Additional Information:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in allied medicine, Health Education, Public Health or related field. 5 years of relevant experience required.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least 5 years of experience in health promotion, higher education or related field, 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred; Experience leading strategic vision, development, implementation and evaluation for basic needs/resources & support, intervention programs, and services; Established experiences in operational efficiencies and leadership for a range of departmental operations, program planning, administration and collaboration with various community resources; Supervision experience of professional and student staff; Experience working with college students and/or young adults; Demonstrated knowledge of health promotion/financial wellness education, behavior change, and population-based theories and models; Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-informed basic need support best practices/initiatives and ability to use data to inform programs and services; Excellent written/oral/interpersonal communication skills; Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks. Experience working in an urban/metropolitan university setting; Demonstrated experience in donor engagement and relationship management; ability to effectively communicate the mission and impact of programs, and experience with grant writing. ACHAs Certified Health and Wellness Professional (CHWP), NASW Professional Social Work Credentials, Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) or Certified in Public Health or certification eligible.

This position has a targeted hiring range of $69,400 - $85,000/annually.
