Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd., has an opportunity available for an AVP, Sales and Distribution to join our Central Region Sales and Distribution Team.

The mission of the Distribution team is to enable the underwriting teams to be more effective, more efficient, and more connected with our trading partners and to deliver the quotable opportunities that we want to write while utilizing our relationships and influence to help bind the business we quote. Our goal is to build a world class distribution platform within the Central Region that will serve to strengthen the brand and support profitable growth.

The AVP Sales and Distribution is responsible for managing relationships with assigned brokers throughout a specific geography to drive profitable growth by selling Everest Insurance Solutions. She / He collaborates with key brokers to develop strategic plans, monitor broker performance, and optimize business opportunities aligned with our business segment's appetite and national growth strategies.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies with key brokers to achieve revenue targets and maximize market penetration.
  • Conduct Annual Broker Planning meetings and achieve regional new business goals for assigned brokers. Monitor and analyze broker performance and share broker and/or industry insights with regional team.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities using broker tools and targeted cross-sell activity to boost production and increase product density.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the region, generating new business leads.
  • Develop client relationships through cross-selling additional lines of business
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings to increase engagement between underwriters and key brokers. Align Everest Underwriting Teams with assigned Brokers through joint meetings to discuss target / prospect accounts and increased market engagement that will enhance production.
  • Promote all of the Everest products and services
  • Work with the Everest senior leadership and underwriting teams to help build upon our distribution platform in the assigned region
  • Help develop and execute the regional strategy in collaboration with the Regional Leader for Sales and Distribution
  • Establish strong relationships with client representatives and senior management teams of retail brokers within the assigned region, ensuring Everest capabilities and product set is well known and understood
  • Represent Everest at regional insurance industry and broker events.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of relevant insurance industry experience having served prior roles in underwriting, sales, distribution, or client relationship management.
  • Proven track record of success in previous sales / new business development and customer retention roles; Ability to develop and execute sales and business development strategies
  • An Established network with key stakeholders with retail brokers and risk managers
  • Driven, highly motivated, self-starter
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and negotiation skills
  • A team player that works well with others across various stakeholders and possesses strong influence and change management skills
  • Ability to use data and analytics to interpret broker metrics to drive performance and create a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Excellent marketing and sales skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
