Position Overview:
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our financial records. You will ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately, assist in the preparation of financial statements, and help manage our day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries and financial statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Prepare and submit payroll, including tax withholdings
- Assist with monthly and annual closing of books
- Prepare financial reports for management, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Manage invoicing and vendor communications
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and laws
- Handle other bookkeeping tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus
- Knowledge of tax filing and regulations is a plus
