Job Title: Construction Estimator (TXDOT and Bridge Specific)

Location: Austin, Texas

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a focus on TXDOT and bridge projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience with a TXDOT contractor, specifically estimating bridge projects ranging from 5 to 25 million dollars. This position offers an excellent opportunity for upward mobility and growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for bridge construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Conduct take-offs and quantify materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of TXDOT regulations and requirements.
• Participate in bid meetings and presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of bridge construction and TXDOT standards.
• Proficiency in estimating software (such as Bluebeam, HCSS, or equivalent).
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000 annually.
• Bonuses are awarded annually during the Christmas season.
• Comprehensive benefits package.
