Job Summary
Indiana University East is seeking Campus Service Coordinators to work within our Physical Plant.
General Responsibilities
- Coordinates and participates in campus office moves and special event set-up.
- Performs mail room and shipping/receiving duties.
- May deliver packages or mail as needed.
- Performs duplicating services as needed.
- Performs grounds, custodial, and snow removal duties as needed.
- Assists with handling campus emergencies and inclement weather by responding to fire alarms, tornado sirens, and directing building occupants to shelter locations.
- Performs capital asset tagging and inventory tasks.
- May order custodial or other necessary supplies in support of campus operations.
- May perform light maintenance around campus such as replacement of ceiling tiles/panels, replacement/repair of campus signage, minor building maintenance, or basic vehicle maintenance duties (washing, vacuuming interiors, fluid level checks, etc.).
- May coordinate scheduled maintenance and repair of campus vehicles.
- Serves as backup and fills in for other campus positions during vacations, leaves, absences, etc. performing basic tasks in support of campus services and functions.
QualificationsEDUCATION
Required- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required- 1 year of experience in light maintenance, custodial work, or related area.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about the workplace for long durations. It requires effective communication, the ability to operate machinery, tools, and controls. The role requires the ability to ascend/descend ladders/stairs, and to position one's self in low level positions, detect a variety of chemicals and/or gases. The role requires the ability to ascend to rooftops and move in tight spaces to perform and complete inspections. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
