Job Summary

The Capacity Planner plays a crucial role in optimizing production by forecasting, analyzing, and managing the capacity requirements of live orders, backlog and sales pipelines. This role involves collaborating with various departments including the sales and project teams and the global LOB team to ensure efficient resource utilization, meeting on-time production demands, and maintaining a balance between supply and demand. This position requires strong collaboration, a strategic mindset, analytical skills, and effective communication to contribute to the overall success of the production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate records of production and capacity schedules.
  • Analyze production schedules, historical data, and market demand to develop accurate capacity plans.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and supply chain teams to understand current and future production requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust forecasts to reflect changes in demand or production capabilities.
  • Liaise with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to gather information on market trends, customer demands, and potential disruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align production plans with the Busbar LOB goals.
  • Monitor production performance against capacity plans and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and analyze production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Proactively identify potential risks to production capacity and develop contingency plans.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance production efficiency and capacity utilization.
  • Generate regular reports on production capacity performance and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify the AMR projects to be transfer to other plants based on the delivery requirement and Anderson factory capacity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning, capacity planning, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel and SmartSheet skills.
  • PowerBI or similar data visualization tool will be an added advantage
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
