Job Summary:
Responsible for performing all basic and advanced cardiac diagnostic testing, in addition to resting, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of one year of echocardiography work experience is preferred. Pediatric/Neonatal Cardiac Ultrasound experience is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Graduate of a CAAHEP or CMA approved Cardiac Ultrasound Technology Program is required. RDCS/RCS credentials accepted in lieu of education. Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasonography is strongly preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Completion of RDCS/RCS is required within 24 months of employment. RDCS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International is strongly preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
