Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Changeover Tech to join our TEAM! As the Changeover Tech, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as manage color changes, collaborate with planning and shift manager, and conducts reporting on color change status.

Primary Objective:

Inspects and sorts finished tile.

Shift: C-Shift Wednesday-Saturday

Wednesday: Noon-6pm

Thursday-Saturday: 6am-6pm

Major Function and Scope:

Responsible to execute, participate and drive Color Changes.

Works with Planning Manager and Shift Manager to prioritize color changes.

Reports and exchanges accurate information between shifts on color changes status.

Tracks accurate time when CC started, between tests and when production started.

Verifies, confirm and/or adjust line setup before running a test and before production starts.

Achieves any of the three Target Shades.

Evaluates every test of color changes to determine if color is OK.

Uses technical skills to propose changes on setup, application or formulas to achieve Target.

Records all changes made on every test.

Works with GL Lead and Supervisor to have resources needed to pull tests.

Once production started, provides Technical Assistance if needed to keep consistent application or Shade.

Escalade Technical Assistance as needed according to Time frame.

Works with R+D transferring New Products.

Performs other duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

High school diploma.

No previous manufacturing/production experience required.

Competencies:

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English. Computer skills (Windows environment), basic Photoshop knowledge, Color matching experience.

The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock or vibration. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
