Job Description Summary

The person in this position is responsible for cleaning the offices, cafeteria, and restrooms. They also will change oil in the lab fryers and empty garbage in the labs and offices. They will also clean any bio-hazard waste as instructed.

Job Description

Individuals in this position must:

  • Sweep and mop offices.
  • Keep restrooms clean and sanitary.
  • Fill paper towel dispensers.
  • Remove garbage from garbage cans in the offices.
  • Change oil in the lab fryers.
  • Clean bio-hazard waste as instructed by the Supervisor.
  • Wax floors in offices using a power waxer.
  • Perform equal or less rated job duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

  • Be able to sit, stand, walk and climb.
  • Have good eye-hand coordination.
  • Have normal finger dexterity and range of motion.
  • Be able to reach with his/her hands and arms repetitively.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Have vision abilities required by this job, which include: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Be exposed to hot and cold environments.
  • Be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.

  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals.
  • Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Education
  • High School Education or GED Equivalent

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $18.23
