Li-San Wang's lab and the Penn Neurodegeneration Genomics Center are hiring a database developer to contribute to neurodegeneration bioinformatics research. The database developer will be responsible for (1) developing databases for managing individual- and project-level phenotypes/genotypes, consents, the status of analysis progress, and related file management; (2) contribute to the development of NIAGADS cloud commons; (3) developing new features and maintaining the NIAGADS genomics database that is a searchable annotation resource; (4) contribute to the development and testing of genomics research software and resources at Wang Lab.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in computer science, bioinformatics, or other related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Skills and expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and SQL programming required. Familiarity with R, Python, SAS, C/C++, Gen3, or web development preferred. Skills and experience with NoSQL databases, integrating web and databases, and/or genomics/genetics data management preferred.
