OMAX is seeking a Deburr Technician for our Kent, Washington location. The ideal candidate will be a part of an innovative and collaborative team and play an important role in our Waterjet business.

A Deburr Technician will utilize manual machinery and hand tools to complete simple operations such as drilling, tapping, deburring and surface conditioning. They will order new parts and material to maintain inventory as well as operate small cranes and lifts to move equipment, parts and materials. They will also assist with production machinery set-up by gathering tools and materials required by the bill of operations.

Who you are and the experience you will bring/requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Competent usage of basic Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, pick tickets, routings, schedules and raw material labels and ability to read standard work instructions and have good communication skills
  • This is an entry-level position that requires demonstrated mechanical aptitude

Preferred experience to differentiate you:

Recent schooling in related field preferred. Formal machinist apprenticeship certification is available but not required

$17.36-$28.93 HourlyThis is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.
Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
