Our direct client is looking to hire a (ONSITE) "Director of Strategic Logistics" for their HQ near Columbus, Ohio. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing, global Manufacturing company working for a Great boss!

Job Summary:
The Director of Strategic Logistics will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive logistics strategy to optimize supply chain operations. This individual will evaluate existing systems and processes, design and execute strategic initiatives, and manage key projects to drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, and superior service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Assess the logistics needs of the organization and develop a strategic roadmap to enhance systems, processes, and performance across all logistics functions.
- Project Management: Lead the implementation of logistics-related projects, including process optimization, technology integration, and systems upgrades to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Technology Integration: Oversee the evaluation, selection, and deployment of logistics systems, including TMS, WMS, customs clearance systems, and freight audit & spend management tools, ensuring seamless integration with ERP systems.
- Cost Optimization: Develop and execute strategies to reduce logistics costs, improve freight management, and optimize warehouse operations.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including customs and international trade laws, and manage risks associated with logistics operations.
- Team Development: Collaborate with HR and training teams to develop training programs and resources to enhance logistics team capabilities and support the adoption of new systems and processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Operations, and Sales, to ensure alignment on logistics strategies and support business objectives.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management required; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong track record in strategic planning and project execution.
- Hands-on experience with logistics technology platforms, including TMS, WMS, customs clearance systems, and ERP integration.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale logistics transformations and cost-saving initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% initially, reducing to 20-30% as the role stabilizes.
Preferred Qualifications: -
- Experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar or PV module manufacturing.
- Familiarity with US and international trade compliance, particularly related to renewable energy components.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) are a plus but not required.
PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range*: $175k to $195k per year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
