The Role

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to help define and translate our Technical Development (TD) strategy into execution. In this role, you will lead TD Strategic Operations, mentoring a team of highly skilled technical integrators. The team maintains three primary areas of scope: managing critical cross-functional technical projects, advancing business operations, and developing processes and tools to enable TD to function effectively. This is an onsite role based in Moderna's Technology Center campus in Norwood, MA.

You will be a critical resource for translating strategic concepts and roadmaps into well-crafted narratives and content. You will also spearhead preparation and publication of key reporting metrics for leadership. To be effective in this role you are master integrator gifted in bringing together people, concepts, and business goals with best-in-class execution. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves - if a process doesn't exist yet, you define it. People applaud your ability to deliver in real (and often high stakes) situations. You collaborate well amongst a team of expert peers and are passionate about people development.

  • Ensure data-driven decision-making through comprehensive and accessible reporting.
  • Foster and maintain a strong Technical Development culture and community.

Here's What You'll Need (Basic Qualifications)
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's or PhD degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years (PhD) or 15 years (BS) industry experience in biopharmaceutical development, project management/integration, strategic planning
