Role: Principal Engineer for Commercial Bank Generative AI Project
Responsibilities:
- Ramp up a team.
- Lead as the principal engineer.
- Define solutions, create project plans, and work with the delivery team on non-functional requirements.
- 15+ years of experience in software development.
- 5+ years of experience in driving technical collaboration across multiple teams and organizations.
- Experience in building and improving Information Retrieval and Ranking, Machine Learning, and Embedding systems.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing machine learning models using Google Vertex AI and Python, specifically in Generative AI applications.
- Expertise in indexing, retrieval, and ranking stacks.
- Understanding of LLM fine-tuning, distillation, data generation, and prompt engineering across various tasks.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, partnering with groups such as Engineering, Product Management, AI COE, UX, and UI, and brokering trade-offs with stakeholders while understanding their needs.
- Outstanding narrative and storytelling skills that drive usage, adoption, and market momentum.
