Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific has awarded Dragados JV a $2.8 billion task order - under an $8 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), multiple-award construction contract awarded in November 2021 to Dragados JV to replace a dry dock at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility at Joint Base Pearl Harbor.


Environmental Coordinator

Bachelor's degree in a field of scientific study, such as biological science, environmental science, geology/hydrogeology, or similar

  • More than one year of marine species observer experience in the field
  • Able to identify marine species, at minimum, to type of animal (e.g. shark, seal, dolphin, whale, turtle, ray, etc.), if sightings are brief or viewing conditions are poor, or to species if positive identification is possible.
  • Understand marine species behavior enough to be able to observe direction of movement, know diving patterns, and be able to determine when an observed species has departed or remained close to the project area
  • Be able to evaluate group size to state with high certainty how many animals were observed when they are seen in a group
  • Prepare field reports ensuring accuracy and quality of work products
  • Valid driver's license
  • Capable of accessing government properties based upon a background check
  • Functions as a field scheduler, coordinating field tasks for junior-level employees and subcontractors
  • Fluent with word-processing and integrated software applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Reviews work products of others for accuracy, clarity, and readability
  • Collects, evaluates and compiles, data
