We are looking for a Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist who will join our team.
This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of project specific EHS programs and processes. The Specialist will support completion of compliance and proactive projects and programs associated with our corporate campus, research and development field stations, and other businesses as needed.
In this role you will:
- Assist with Marysville corporate campus EHS programs including educating, training, and mentoring employees on EHS programs.
- Assist with EHS programs for research and development field research stations in Oregon and Florida.
- Review and interpret new and proposed regulations for applicability, develop associated implementation and training programs and procedures. Participate in professional industry groups to further develop individual capabilities and to benchmark activities.
- Participate in the review of new projects and research initiatives to ensure proper implementation of Company EHS programs and policies, provide EHS consulting services to operations and business units.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's Degree, Environmental, Health and Safety, Engineering, Other Science and/or EHS related fields
- Desired: OSHA 10/30 Hr,CHMM,ASP/CSP,PIT/Forklift Instructor - 2 - 4 Years of experience prefered
- EHS experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or related field; with increasing responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to establish self as a business partner with internal customers to develop and influence EHS initiatives.

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $58,000.00 - $68,200.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
