Essential Duties:

  • Maintain an effective equipment program, including procurement, distribution, and maintenance.
  • Manage and direct effective maintenance and repair programs, equipment safety initiatives, and equipment utilization optimization.
  • Manage comprehensive records, including licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for all company equipment and tools.
  • Supervise staff in office as well as shop.
  • Provide support to field operations by managing vehicle and equipment requests and ensuring timely deployment.
  • Ensure documentation of all vehicles, equipment, and tool repairs, maintaining accurate inventory asset lists for organizational transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with City, State, and Federal regulations regarding vehicle and equipment registration, insurance, and safety standards.
  • Establish and oversee preventive maintenance programs for all equipment, ensuring operational reliability and longevity.
  • Track all assets and manage their lifecycle, including disposition and replacement planning.
  • Maintain safe working conditions in shop and remote corporate yards, addressing and eliminating hazardous conditions promptly.
  • Provide transportation of equipment, tools, and materials to and from remote job sites and corporate yards as needed.
  • Serve as the point of contact for after-hours emergency responses and needs, coordinating timely and effective interventions.
  • Act as a technical advisor to executive and field staff, assisting in the development of equipment budgets and rates.
  • Perform additional assignments and duties as required or directed by management to support organizational objectives and initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Required
  • 10 years of fleet/shop management experience ideally with construction tools and equipment, and knowledge of safe and effective operational use of a variety of construction tools , small equipment and heavy equipment.
Preferred
  • OSHA 10 Hour Certification
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification
  • 40 Hour Hazwoper Certification
  • CDL License preferred
  • Hoisting and Rigging Certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in Rail/Track work desired.
  • 10 Years of experience in crane and heavy-lift operations.
  • Knowledge of Coast Guard and Marine Safety Compliance.
