Scope:
Perform duties to inspect completed HVAC units prior to shipping following defined checklists and protocols to ensure that units meet defined specifications, and making minor decisions.
Essential Duties:
- Create packing lists for standard model units. Conduct external inspection to verify compliance with cosmetic appearance of the unit and adherence of visible elements with BOM and standards. Ensure all door handles are closed and secured with a bolt.
- Determine the unit's destination and verify destination and load number with carrier driver. Load appropriate unit on truck using oversized forklift or overhead crane. Verify that the correct units have been loaded in agreement with load number and driver's records. Acquire driver's signature on work check list and other required documents. Review special instructions with the driver. Ensure driver receives proper documentation and paperwork.
- Self-check that work was completed in accordance to organization's policies and procedures. Verify all operations are completed and checked off using associated check list. Sign and date related documentation.
- Complete required shipping processes in correlated software. Forward required documents to Customer Service department for filing.
- Notify supervisor of any discrepant documentation, schedules, or issues involving shipping delays or concerns.
- Assist team members with any Closing Operations as required and as time allows.
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Tools and Equipment:Use computer and related specialty systems software and peripherals, large oversized fork lift, overhead crane, rigging fixture, hand and power tools, scale, .
