The Building Construction Products (BCP) Division has an exciting opportunity available as a Human Resources Manager located in Athens, GA. In this role you will be the onsite lead HR of approximately 1200 employees, and primarily responsible for overseeing all HR aspects within the facility while working closely with the Facility Manager and on-site senior leaders. As a member of the Human Resources team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. What You Will Do:

  • Lead team of HR professionals to collaborate effectively with other Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.
  • Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Partner closely with facility leadership on the strategic department culture and employee relations needs.
  • Trusted advisor providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc.
  • Work with employees on all payrolls and all shifts, to provide direction regarding interpretation and application of employee-related policies, practices and procedures, ensuring consistency.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning focusing on skill identification, succession planning and footprint management.
  • Lead strategic HR projects related to culture, employee engagement, talent pipeline and other key focus areas.
  • Aligning HR policies and programs for their facility which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  • Work with global HR partners and process owners.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and safety-related initiatives.

What You Have:

  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
  • Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
  • Talent Management : Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.

Top Candidates will also have:
  • Experience with analysis and reporting.
  • Experience presenting complex themes to audiences at various levels within an organization.
  • Outstanding judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
