Job Summary / Basic Function:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Instructor for Utility Line is responsible for but not limited to the instruction of classes pertaining to the Utility Line program in the Technology Department such as Electrical Theory, Power Distribution, Climbing Skills, Commercial Driver's License Driving Skills and other topics related to the discipline. Additional duties include advising, tutoring, student counseling, recruiting, and working with advisory committees. This individual is also responsible for maintaining office hours and teaching classes as scheduled by the department, including hybrid/online courses, as required, both on campus and at alternate locations. This individual attends workshops, seminars, and conferences to upgrade teaching skills and assists in the developing curriculum, as needed. All LIT faculty are responsible for recruitment and retention as a part of achieving the Institute's Shared Vision of Growth and Excellence.
