Continuation depends on satisfactory performance, program needs, and renewal of funds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates and facilitates programmatic activities of Kapi`olani CC's Workforce Development Training (WDT) program.Focuses on a span of workforce development programs such as continuing education IT, Digital Arts, Sustainability, Health, Community, Court Interpreting, and more. Develop programs, pathways between continuing education and credit courses, and articulation agreements Proposes and secures contract trainingWorks with faculty, instructional designer, and staff to coordinate/develop Workforce Development (WFD) curriculum, and activitiesCoordinates with Academic and Continuing Education program faculty to ensure that the WFD program outcomes and grants are metHelps to increase the capacity of the UH Community Colleges' statewide workforce development programsCoordinates the monitoring and tracking of student's progress and program completionConducts or assists with outreach and recruitmentReview applicants to determine if they meet the criteria to participate in program(s)Develops and analyzes critical reports for appropriate useCoordinates with Dean, internal, and external instructors to create and offer programs for the campus community and external constituencies to create better health and wellness Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics or related field; orBachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Business Administration, Education, Economics, Public Administration, or relevant field and three (3) years of related experienceGood working knowledge and understanding of the Federal and Hawai`i State laws, rules, regulations, and systems associated with grants and workforce development training contracts.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members, individuals, and the publicProgressively responsible experience in project management or human services, including managing and leading diverse groups of peopleContinuing Education and/or university extended college experienceDesirable Qualifications:
At least one year of direct experience working with extramural programs at the University of Hawai`i campus(es) and/or State of Hawai`iAt least one year of professional experience using online project management and financial systemsExcellent written and oral communication skills. Must possess strong computer skills with commonly used professional software programsAt least one year of professional experience preparing and monitoring contracts and service agreementsDemonstrated ability to analyze and compile data needed to prepare reports for internal and external audiences' review
