ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Intermediate Data Scientist to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice. In this job you will support agents, analysts, and professionals and technology they use to fight terrorism, espionage, cyber-attacks, and major criminal threats.
We are seeking candidates committed to high quality to provide courteous and accurate technical information. As the Intermediate Data Scientist, you will collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non-technical personnel, to understand their data science related needs, suggest solutions, and complete work in a timely manner. This position performs activities associated with the implementation, integration, and support of computer systems in a mission-critical response operations environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non - technical personnel, to understand their data needs, suggest solutions, and complete assigned work in a timely manner
- Support data analytics tasks and projects using Python
- Support and lead data visualization tasks/projects
- Lead the design, development and maintenance of dashboards
- Identify, recommend remedies, and/or implement new ideas that enhance existing solutions and capabilities
- Develop write-ups, visualizations, infographics, and charts to communicate results and associated findings
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
General Description of Benefits
Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting data analytics projects using Python
- Experience with Data Visualization
- Experiencing designing and implementing dashboards
- Working knowledge and experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases
- Ability to discuss and derive real requirements from non-technical customers and then build into relative tasks.
- Great communication skills
Desired Skills: - Experience supporting Extract Transform Load (ETL) tasks
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitLab
- Familiarity with Spark and Databricks
