The Advanced Repair and Reconstruction (AR&R) Platform is the industry leader in hernia repair. The Intern position will be responsible for supporting marketing activities aligned with the AR&R Global Marketing Strategy. The position will work with the AR&R Global Marketing Team to support commercial activities to accelerate global expansion.

Job Summary
BD Interventional Surgery worldwide business unit, located in Rhode Island, is a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of innovative, life-enhancing medical technologies.
The Advanced Repair and Reconstruction (AR&R) Platform is the industry leader in hernia repair. The Intern position will be responsible for supporting marketing activities aligned with the AR&R Global Marketing Strategy.
The position will work with the AR&R Global Marketing Team to support commercial activities to accelerate global expansion.
This position will report to the Sr Manager, Global Marketing.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the global Marketing team:
Support the execution of marketing programs, projects and commercial activities. These will include targeting initiatives focused on commercial excellence and clinical leadership.
- Support the marketing execution of Hernia Transformation, including creation of content and deliverables
- Support development of marketing collateral
- Lead Advertising and Promotion (AdProm) content approval process, partnering with cross functional teams to gain support and alignment
- Partner with the sales enablement and training teams to ensure field engagement
Support AR&R Platform global innovation projects as well as international market expansion initiatives.
- Support in the planning and execution of commercial accelerators
- Engage with New Product Development teams
- Gain an understanding of regulatory pathways and production planning
Support AR&R Platform business items.
- Create presentations for the AR&R Platform team
- Execute ad hoc reporting requests
- Participate in quarterly business reviews
QualificationsEducation
- Business major or other applicable undergraduate or masters level program (e.g. MBA) with an interest or focus in marketing or healthcare
Skills
- Effectively work cross functionally
- Exemplary written and verbal communications skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently
- Demonstrated abstract and concrete problem-solving skills
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment of accountability
- Must have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
- Effectively prioritizes and allocates resources to drive most impactful business outcomes
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
Schedule
- Hybrid, Warwick
- Position requires full-time (40 hours/week) during summer semester, with flexible working hours during fall / spring semester
- Business hours 8AM - 5PM EST Monday - Friday
