CobbFendley is seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist position in Houston, Texas office.QUALIFICATIONSThe successful candidate’s most important qualifications include the following.
- Experience in inventory management
- High level knowledge of computer hardware, including Dell laptops and Desktops.
- High level knowledge of Windows 10\11.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server
- Basic knowledge of Imaging Tools such as InTune\Autopilot

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain IT\Survey\SUE equipment inventory via WASP software
- Yearly office inventory audits for all physical locations
- Instruct Office\Field personnel on the usage of WASP software
- Utilize GPS tracking application for high profile equipment
- Provide documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
- Field incoming help requests from end users via telephone, Ticketing system, Teams, and e-mail in a courteous manner.
- Build rapport and elicit problem details from users.
- Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician.
- Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
- Work to obtain a first-contact resolution.
- Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
- Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources from various sources to aid in problem resolution.
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
- Performing preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Perform post-resolution follow-ups to service requests.
- Develop knowledge base articles and frequently asked questions lists for end users.
- Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.
- Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product that is error free.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST/local time zone.
This position may include the need for overtime hours and weekend work, with occasional travel.
