IT Test Analyst - IT Applications

Our client is seeking a dedicated IT Test Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the Testing Center of Excellence, where you will be part of a high-performing quality assurance team, ensuring the delivery of top-notch software.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the identification of Test Scenarios and Test Cases
- Create and maintain Test Scenarios and Test Cases, including steps and expected results
- Identify and maintain Test Data
- Execute Functional Tests and document test execution utilizing HP ALM
- Proactively identify functional, technical, and integration-related defects
- Perform preliminary troubleshooting of defects to facilitate quick resolution
- Document defects utilizing HP ALM
- Communicate issues, risks, and daily testing status effectively to Team Lead or Test Lead

Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience testing Point of Sale systems
- Experience testing with systems that integrate with Point-of-Sale systems
- Experience identifying and writing test scenarios and test cases
- Experience identifying test data and managing test data across test environments
- Proficiency in Spanish and French for POS translation is a plus
- Experience with HP ALM / Quality Center, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools
- Delivery experience on projects in Agile methodology
- Retail domain experience preferred
- Functional Testing experience and conversant with ETL processes and tools
- SQL knowledge in retail Domain is a nice to have
- Strong interpersonal skills, proactive participation in Team environment
- Effective documentation and communication skills
- Demonstrates analytical skills to assist in solving problems and making decisions

This role is project-based and requires someone flexible and adaptable. The successful candidate will be expected to attend meetings and complete tasks related to test prep or test execution daily. This position is on-site 3-5 days a week, and our client will provide a company computer. The ideal candidate will have a few years of experience testing on POS systems.
