RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Sandy, UT that is seeking a Java Architect to join their team as a Senior Applications Architect. This full-time, exempt role is based at our headquarters in Sandy, Utah. We're looking for a candidate with deep Java expertise, a commitment to excellence in software development, and a proven ability to deliver robust, scalable solutions. - Create solutions by transforming complex specifications and requirements into clear, maintainable architectures
- Uphold and optimize application quality, accuracy, and efficiency
- Identify and resolve bugs and bottlenecks to enhance performance
- As a Java Architect, you will foster code quality, maintain structure, and implement automation where possible
- Guide and mentor junior developers, fostering growth and skill development
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development
- Advanced expertise in Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Java 17
- Knowledge of both imperative and functional programming techniques
- Strong foundation in software design patterns and architectural principles
- Proficiency in SQL and database architecture
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills for internal and external client interactions
- Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Experience working with RabbitMQ
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Bamboo
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
