About the Role
Be a part of a team that assists and supports transportation management for multiple Fortune 500 companies. Opportunity to implement and improve processes, drive efficiencies, and create positive financial impact to the customer's business. The Logistics Specialist III will be accountable for creating and maintaining the carrier relationships with consistent and professional communications. This position will work onsite at the customer location in Fridley, MN.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Maintain carrier service and cost expectations
- Planning and tendering loads
- Document and execute customer's standard operating procedures
- Leverages knowledge and understanding of equipment's, markets, and shipment requirements
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers to meet customer expectations
- Negotiate Carrier Rates for New and Existing Business
- Manage KPIs and identify trends with shipper, receiver and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement
- Act as intermediary in problem resolution between accounts and carriers
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
Basic Qualifications - High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years of related experience in Transportation or Logistics
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management or Business
- Transportation industry knowledge, including key terminology; and general knowledge of industry verticals
- Advance of Microsoft Suite and/or Google Tools
