Job Details:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This position is responsible for all equipment repair or replacement during processing in the assigned area. Operating inspections are done while equipment is operating. Some Preventative Maintenance and other work may also be completed throughout the production shift. This position requires electrical troubleshooting, wiring motors, repairing and installing electrical and electronic devices, i.e., running conduit, pulling wires, rebuilding motors and machines, adjusting machinery, plumbing, i.e., hot and cold water, air, reading schematics and diagrams and wire three-phase motor by nameplate. The primary goal of the Maintenance crew is to keep the hatchery operating. Your hours maybe flexible at times to include change of work schedules and weekends. You will be working off of ladders. You will be required to walk, stand, and bend etc. for 8 to 12 hours. The environment is warm and cold. You will be working in dirty areas. You will be working with all aspects of maintenance including but not limited to electrical, sharp objects, hand tools, welding etc. and abide by all safety regulations. At times you will be lifting things that weigh 50 to 70 pounds. Maybe assigned by supervisor to work on weekends. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. The Dardanelle Complex Safety Goal is Zero

Accidents. Must be willing to work in outside temperatures ranging from cold to hot and be exposed to exterior environment occasionally which may include rain, snow, wind, etc. Can be dusty, damp, humid, wet, with a high concentration of allergens. Must have the ability to sit for 8 to 12 hours a day along with the ability to grasp, grip, twist, pull, bend and stoop occasionally. Must be able to lift in excess of 40 lbs., climb stairs and ladders.

Must be able to comprehend oral and written instruction
Must have a minimum of a year maintenance experience
Must provide own hand tools
Must have at least 3 months seniority.
Must have no more than 5 attendance points at the time of the job posting
