The Shift Supervisor oversees the Sheet Metal, Paint Line, and Parts Department operations to ensure quality, safety, and productivity, aligning with company and customer standards. This role has 15-20 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and ISO QMS standards. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and training documentation. Resolve CPDs and uphold safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in processes, cost efficiency, and cross-training. Stay updated on new technologies and equipment. Lead team training and improvement initiatives.
- Leadership: Mentor team members, promote collaboration, and support personal growth. Manage attendance, timecards, and shift schedules. Provide performance feedback and conduct reviews.
- Customer Service: Provide timely support for production needs. Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities. Manage staff assignments, training, and hiring as needed. Improve efficiency and ensure tasks meet company standards.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing setting - relevant sheet metal, paint line, and/or parts experience would be a bonus!
- Experience leading others over multiple shifts preferred. (1st and 2nd)
- Lean manufacturing, 5S, fishbone diagram, Six Sigma training would be beneficial
- Strong communication, people, and leadership skills
- Awareness of and willingness to follow/implement Lean Manufacturing practices
- Ability to effectively resolve problems with both people and processes
Additional Info:
- Pay range: $60-70K + 10% annual discretionary bonus
- Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00am - 3:00 pm Friday
