Manufacturing Supervisor

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role includes managing a team of operators, coordinating workflows, and implementing best practices to optimize productivity and safety. The supervisor will monitor performance metrics, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence, all while fostering a positive work environment and developing team capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Allocate manpower and resources to ensure customer schedules, quality standards are met.
  • Initiates and recommends corrective action including recovery plans to ensure manufacturing completion dates are maintained.
  • Assists with material planning and scheduling, including evaluation of workload vs. capacity.
  • Ensures employee evaluation and performance review are accurate and completed as scheduled.
  • Monitor production performance while ensuring employees receive required coaching and training for successful completion of specific tasks assigned.
  • Maintains and supports all safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with development of work instructions and plant operating procedures.
  • Assist with new product launches and CI activities.
  • Monitors and approves all time sheets through UKG Pro.
  • Responsible for completion and corrective action including follow-up of items reported during monthly Workplace Safety Inspections.
  • Ensures all employees work to acceptable safety, production and quality standards.
  • Provide daily production reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Follows, supports and enforces all company policies

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • College diploma with studies in Manufacturing Management or previous experience with a proven track record in relation to outlined job functions.
Experience:
  • 5-7 years supervisory experience in metal fabrication, system assembly and testing.
Specific Skill Ability and Knowledge:
  • Ability to lead, motivate and coach workers to achieve effective work results.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience.
  • Promote a positive work environment where employees are treated with mutual respect.
  • Must possess leadership skills and a positive attitude.
