A Solution Owner is the primary liaison between the client team and the delivery team. As such, you should be comfortable interacting with clients and customers to understand their needs and concerns, as well as tertiary stakeholders or product user groups.

You will also be working with Slalom-led delivery teams, often leading full or sub-teams within a Project. These projects may include any part of our common phases; Discovery, Development, Transition. Project teams can be as small as an engagement needs, sometimes as small as Solution Owner and Architect to define a project's future goals and ready for development. Other times working with a full design and development team to deliver a product through Agile methodologies.

Finally, experienced Solution Owners often play Engagement Lead roles, where they drive future opportunities and sales pipelines at a client, working with Account Leads to identify, solution, pitch and close sales opportunities.

What You'll Do

• A Solution Owner's primary role is to drive the delivery of the solution for the client. They will be responsible for bringing together the core roles of Agile Delivery, Project or Program Management, Product Ownership, and Product Management. These roles are delivered with a high-level of awareness and expertise in Software Delivery (SDLC), Business Analysis, and Technology.
• The role is highly collaborative, requiring regular communication with business stakeholders, developers, architects, operations, and other product teams. Product Owners work to define project vision by understanding business and technical requirements by conducting customer interviews, analyzing user data, workshopping with business stakeholders, and/or working with their Product Managers to understand roadmap goals/strategy.
• They work to distill these high-level requirements into a prioritized backlog of deliverable user stories that enable the development team to know what problems need to be solved and how to build the solution to meet the client needs. They also drive the development backlog priority and facilitate tactical planning on how to sequence work based on what will drive end-user value. These activities will be reported, analyzed, assessed for risk, and managed to ensure project success.

What You'll Bring

• 7-10 years' experience in Business Analysis, SDLC, Agile Delivery, and Project Management
• Experience delivering Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other Enterprise CMS Platforms
• Adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments
• Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills; a rigorous approach to project management to deliver enterprise-level projects
• Strong leadership skills, including a history of increasing leadership responsibility, internal team management, and career growth
• Product Definition:
  • Has translated business requirements into user stories for the development teams to implement
  • Has developed and maintained a prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation
  • Has developed appropriately detailed specifications for product features, so that they are clearly understood by the development teams
  • Has supported agile development by writing user stories, acceptance criteria, testing, and analysis and driven agile ceremonies (e.g., Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Retro, Review, etc.) and principles throughout the product development phases
• Analysis:
  • Has worked with QA, analyzed data, and tested results to ensure integrity maintained throughout program lifecycle
  • Has supported external research (such as customers, potential solutions, competition) as needed for product analysis
  • Has partnered with product management, user experience, technology leaders, and business stakeholders on product vision, MVP, roadmap, prioritization, and growth opportunities

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the targeted base salary range for a Senior Consultant for this position is $110,000 to $203,000, the targeted base salary for a Principal for this position is $122,000 to $225,000, and the targeted base salary for a Senior Principal/Senior Delivery Principal for this position is $140,000 to $258,000. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
