Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support our clinical team in providing exceptional care across all age groups. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert clinical skills, particularly in immunization administration and patient management, and will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Intake:
    • Welcome and verify patients using two identifiers, ensuring a positive experience.
    • Conduct intake assessments, including vital signs and symptom documentation.
    • Review and manage preventive health needs, entering necessary orders in the EHR.
  • Care Planning:
    • Anticipate patient needs to optimize provider time and ensure all paperwork is prepared.
    • Assist providers with office procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
    • Manage patient follow-up and documentation according to best practices.
  • Clinical Care:
    • Administer immunizations and perform clinical tasks under provider orders.
    • Conduct point-of-care testing, obtain specimens, and manage lab-related activities.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, maintaining logs as required.
  • Office Support:
    • Function as a front desk representative during slower clinical periods.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments, managing referrals and office inventory.
    • Collaborate on the development of efficient office procedures.
  • Patient Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients and families, adhering to service expectations.
    • Notify patients of test results and follow provider instructions regarding care.
    • Document all patient interactions accurately for appropriate follow-up.
  • Professional Development:
    • Maintain current knowledge and competency in clinical functions.
    • Support and orient new employees, acting as a mentor and resource.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Work collaboratively to improve patient satisfaction scores and clinical processes.
    • Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing workflow and patient care delivery.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Exhibit professionalism and integrity in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
    • Serve as a role model for peers, demonstrating a commitment to ethical standards.

    Qualifications
    Qualifications:
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
    • Education:
      • Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program, EMT program or Military Training program.
    • Certifications:
      • Certification (CMA) or Registration (RMA) required.
      • Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire (CPR certification may be acceptable at the time of hiring).
