Duties: Manage the Department of Digital Records, Archives and Publications (DRAP), which includes Museum Archives, Photo Studio, Publications, the collections management database, EMu, Website and Digital Media. The DRAP Manager reports to the Deputy Director and is responsible for: supervising the Department and strategic planning of Department organization, staffing, and activities; ensuring that the public website meets the needs of Development and Marketing & Communications; planning and implementation of digitization in the Archives, Collections and Registrar's Office; for setting and overseeing standards for digitization of the Museum's collections; and ensuring that the internal website and collections management software and the public-facing presentation of collections and research meets the needs of Museum collections staff and researchers and operates as required with the Museum's main public-facing website.
Qualifications: B.A. required, M.A. preferred, in Museum studies or a field related to the Museum's archaeological and/or anthropological missions. 5-7 years of museum managerial experience or equivalent required. Excellent collaboration and communication skills and excellent understanding of museum digitization, collections management, data-storage, access, website and research needs required. Demonstrated effectiveness in planning and implementing digital change in museums or equivalent required. Experience with Ke-Emu preferred. Experience working in or with museum archives and/or registrar's departments preferred.
