SUMMARY
Global Management Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Trades Helper for Chesapeake, VA. The type of work the maintenance trades helper is expected to perform may vary from trade to trade. In some trades, the helper is expected to supplying, lifting, and holding materials and tools as well as cleaning areas and in others, the helper is expected to perform specialized machine operations. The Maintenance Trades Helper is also intermittently expected to perform parts of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades
- Maintains tools and materials supply
- Cleans work area, machines and/or equipment
- Assists general maintenance workers by holding materials or tools or performing other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Worker
- Other duties as assigned

Required (Minimum) Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year maintenance experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics - Basic knowledge of trades

WORK ENVIRONMENTWork Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORSAs a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
