Job Summary
The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner II/Nurse Educator uses tools, theories, skills and knowledge of nursing professional development (NPD) to improve the practice of staff. The NPD Practitioner functions in the roles Of change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion of scientific inquiry, partner for practice transitions, and advocate for the NPD specialty.
- Provide education to clinical support staff (CMAs, LPNs, and RNs) including onboarding, annual competencies, real time education, etc.
- Support the implementation of evidence based principles including infection control and prevention, policies and procedures, etc.
This position is located at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. In addition to providing education at the hospital, there will be travel to our satellite offices to provide education. The base schedule is 8a - 4:30p, but may vary with start and end times.
