Job Description
Safely and efficiently operates off-road haul trucks (i.e., Caterpillar 740 articulated haul trucks) on mine sites in multiple locations surrounding the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. Performs daily pre-inspection of vehicle, reports discrepancies, and performs operator maintenance. This is a full-time seasonal union position. Membership in the Teamsters Local 120 Union is required.

Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a variety of aggregate mine sites surrounding the Twin Cities Metro area.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time seasonal position that regularly requires long hours. The operating season typically runs for 10 months out of the year, weather dependent. A typical shift is 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, four days per week. This can change based on weather and business needs.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating off-road articulated dump or on-road dump trucks is preferred.
- Earthwork/excavation experience is preferred.
- Valid unrestricted Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
