The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine Department of Radiology invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. We seek exceptional team members with a desire to expand our research focused on imaging chronic diseases.
We are seeking to fill one tenure-track position in the Epidemiology Research Division of the Radiology Department and the Biomedical Research Imaging Center to collaborate with imaging scientists to develop novel approaches to address chronic diseases. The new faculty member is expected to develop an independently funded research portfolio, contribute collaboratively to externally funded research, and participate in service to the department. The successful candidate should have a strong track record in epidemiology research and training with experience in imaging research studies, peer-reviewed publications, extramural funding, and a demonstrated commitment to conducting multi-disciplinary and collaborative research.
The candidates should have a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD) in Epidemiology or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:The candidates should have a strong epidemiology background and training with experience in imaging research studies. The candidate should also have experience in grant writing, conceptualizing study designs, implementing statistical analyses, and conducting analyses for multi-disciplinary and collaborative research.
