The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for an open rank Gastroenterologist with expertise in gastroenterology and endoscopy. Our division has a wide variety of sub specialty focuses, including inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disease, motility disorders, and advanced endoscopy. Duties include, but are not limited to, endoscopic procedures, clinic visits, and inpatient consults. Outpatient clinic time will occur in Chapel Hill and outreach clinics. Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills. An interest in clinical research and teaching is desirable. Candidate will be active in the training of GI fellows, fellows, residents and medical students. Candidate must be MD, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. Rank dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:MD degree. Board certified/Board eligible in Gastroenterology.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:Proficiency in gastroenterology and endoscopy. At least three years of gastroenterology training. Good communication and organizational skills with a clinical education and/or research interest.
