Be a Tar Heel!:The Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for two Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) faculty positions to begin July 1, 2025. These positions are open to scholars who specialize in at least one or more of the following areas: migration, gender, or sexualities. Position Summary:This Assistant/Associate Professor position will teach graduate and undergraduate courses, conduct research in the field of Sociology while continuing their own research, participate in departmental service, and mentor graduate students.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:PhD in Sociology or related area.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:Specialization in one of more of the following areas: migration, gender, or sexualities. A record of strong, innovative research and excellence in teaching.
