Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $110,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Plant Operations Superintendent for a large food manufacturing company in Sioux City, IA area! The qualified individual will be responsible for making sure supervisors are improving and maintaining the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality and Reliability (SQR). The candidate will ensure all production tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and accurately to improve and maintain the performance of the plant in the SQR and Customer 1st strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Manage associates and supervisors in the correct use of safe manufacturing practices, including the hazards of a particular product being produced, ensuring accountability
• Ensure all SQR standards are being met across all areas of the plant
• Enforce proper scheduling to minimize labor costs and maximize line efficiency
• Communicate plan needs of the service groups to the needs of the production area
• Communicate preventative maintenance, changeovers, waste and material needs for the current and following production day
• Follow up on any safety or quality or safety defects to all levels of the organizations for evaluation
• Coordinate and communicate with all supervisory staff within the plant including, Quality Control, Sanitation, Maintenance and Office
• Participate and support the plant safety process
• Adhere to policies, established program, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems
• Accountable to the company Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
• Develop associates to the maximum of their ability, while maintaining engagement
• Develop methods to ensure all employees are involved with achieving goals
• Provide supervisors with feedback on performance against all plant and department goals and objectives
• Complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
• Supervise and guide direct reports in the performance of their duties

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in food manufacturing operations
• 3 plus years in food manufacturing field
• Supervisor experience in manufacturing plant
• Working knowledge of Total Process Control practices and procedures
• Detail orientation in composing brief reports and logging documentation
