As a Paralegal Manager, you will oversee a team of paralegals, ensuring high-quality legal support and efficient case management. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of paralegals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective case management and high-quality work.
- Coordinate and allocate workloads among paralegals, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial materials.
- Develop and implement procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency within the paralegal department.
- Review and evaluate the work of paralegals to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure effective communication and case strategy implementation.
- Provide support to attorneys in trial preparation, including managing case files, discovery responses, exhibits, and witness preparation.
- Assist in managing departmental budgets and tracking billable hours, ensuring the team meets productivity goals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional development and continuous learning among team members.
- Stay updated on legal industry trends, technologies, and best practices to keep the team current and efficient.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong understanding of the legal process, particularly in litigation, corporate, real estate, and intellectual property.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
- Proficiency in legal research, document management, and case management software (e.g., Clio, Relativity, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to mentor and motivate a team, with a focus on continuous improvement and professional development.
