Job Summary:

As part of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, our community hospital locations offer easy, around-the-clock access to emergency and inpatient care in a highly efficient setting. An exceptional opportunity for a qualified, motivated and committed Paramedic to deliver the highest quality holistic patient care resulting in the best healthcare outcomes and extraordinary patient satisfaction scores in a highly collaborative team model. The Paramedic assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that they have documented competency to perform. The Paramedic adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.

Services Provided Around-the-Clock - Emergency Care

  • Seven emergency department (ED) beds
  • Froedtert & MCW board-certified ED physicians, registered nurses and paramedics
  • In-house lab and pharmacy services
  • In-house imaging, including low-dose CT scan, X-ray and ultrasound
  • Paramedics are required to have a at least 1 year of experience


Requirements:

  • Paramedic with 1+ year experience required.
  • 3+ years Paramedic experience preferred.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Paramedic Certification in good standing in the state of Wisconsin is required
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) is required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or an AHA approved equivalents is required

Fluent in English, both written and oral Commitment to the highest ideals of the nursing profession in caring for patients. Collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group focused on patient care. Ability to work independently. Ability to exercise independent judgment. Exhibits strong decision-making skills. Displays excellent communication skills. Ability to perform while under stress. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Ability to document accurately and concisely. Ability to follow hospital policies, goals and procedures. Ability to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
