Job Summary
The Films Projectionist is trained to run the film at each screening, which includes an additional time (usually the day prior) to ,build the film, or ingest the digital copy of the film into our digital projector and ensure that it's in working order.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Runs the digital projector for assigned film screening.
- Builds the film at a determined time prior to the weekend film screening.
- Works as a team member with the employee running the concession stand during the film to provide quality customer service to patrons of the film. This may include leaving the projection booth to help scan student IDs or help give out concession items when it is busy; employee will be cross-trained so that they will know how to assist the Concessionaire effectively.
- May assist the on duty Assistant Building Manager in the event of an emergency situation.
- Communicates with supervisor if there are issues with the film building process or the weekend screening.
- Runs the pre-show slideshow and the pre-show music, if provided.

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work LocationBloomington, Indiana
This is an in-person position.
Advertised Salary$12.00 per hour
Work HoursApproximately 5 hours a week, mostly on weekends.
