Description: Our client is currently seeking a Male Personal Care Assistant - Elementary School!
Job Title: Personal Care Assistant (Male)
Location: Chester, PA 19013
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:15am-3:45pm
Type: Open-Ended Contract
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in cognitive, motor, feeding, self-help, and behavior control skills.
- Ensure health and safety of physically handicapped students.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks (handwashing, toileting, changing).
- Monitor and manage student behavior.
- Support physical development activities.
- Prepare students for mainstream classes.
- Attend training and in-service sessions.
- Assist with orthopedic equipment and student positioning.
- Maintain student progress records.
- Implement positive behavior interventions.
- Collaborate with case workers, teachers, and staff.
- Assist in social interactions.
- Work cooperatively and independently.
- Perform additional related duties.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- First Aid and CPR procedures
- Basic record-keeping techniques
- Highschool/GED/or higher degree
